Europe, the debt crisis, how the green parties and movement reacts.
No longer the stuff of dreary directives, Europe is at the forefront of our daily lives.
Austerity, geo-politics, neo-liberal market economics, bail-outs for banks, unemployment, civil strife, anti-democratic moves and technocratic rule, the rise of new political movements and a return to the polarisation of the 1930s.
Europe cannot be ignored any longer.
The question of “More Europe” in a nightmare scenario of budgets and cuts decided by undemocratic means to save a banker’s view of the continent… one of many that need answers.
Over the coming weeks and months, posts will be uploaded asking and attempting to answer questions vital to Europe’s and our future. Feel free to disagree but if you do, may we request it is in the spirit of debate, discussion and decency.
